Bonjour & Seeking Service Shop/Mechanic

Bonjour. Please excuse me but my french is, so far, poor.

I have recently moved to Montreal. I have a 2004 V70 2.5T. I need to find a skilled, trustworthy, and reliable mechanic/service shop.

I live in Le Plateau here in Montreal.

The car is under warranty, but, at this time, I do not have any warranty problems. So, either a dealer or private shop would be fine.

Also, I am looking for used snow tires since I have moved from northern Florida.

Thanks, so far. I did not notice many independent shops. What is the word on Swedish Auto (on De Maisonneuve)? I looked over the approved list, but have not received any specific personal recommendations. Is that against list policy?

Also, I am looking for snow tires (pre-owned, lightly used). We don't have much snow in Florida.

I bought my car there and the selling service was ok... but not fabulus! I didn't make any sevice jobs there since it's far from my home... and I never heard good things (even bad things) about them. But they are specialized in Swedish cars (Volvo & SAAB).

But you have to know about the worst place that you don't have to go!

PS: last year we have receveid over 15 feets of snow... I suggest that you find a good winter tire!
