2.5T vs T6..which would you choose?

hi everyone, just wondering which of these two engines would you choose? it would be from a slightly older model car (ie: 2004 s80)...looking at some pics of the engines of the T6, i would imagine them being harder to work on? are they as reliable as the 2.5T 's? thanks

No T6!!! Except for the newer ones...'09 and up...

2.5T's are much, much better...engine and tranny wise...

wow...okay,they where really that finiky? i figured with the extra tubing of the 2 turbo's it must have been a pain to work on. u think a 2.5 or a t6 is better matched with the awd???

The T6 trannys are problematic...

Avoid the T6.

Buy a 2.5T.

okay....so 2.5. would you recommend it even in an xc90 lets say? or maybe the v8 in this case?? i don't know why,but love those v8's..wish they would bring them back...

In that order.

But now you're mixing models and generations...

If you're looking at S80's:

P2 S80
Buy 2.5T

P3 S80
T6, V8, and 3.2 are all good

If you're looking at XC90's:
V8
2.5T
3.2
T6

thanks for the info, and the oder and models. I will speak to my better half and see if an xc90 might work out for us too. We've been thinking of cars only and haven't looked into suv's...
in the v8,2.5T and 3.2 xc90 models, is the awd system the same or better then the one we have in our 2005 xc70?
