car doesn't seem to downshift (cruise control)???

Hey everyone..i was driving home tonight, and was cruizing along at around 100km...i had cruise control most of the time...i accel. and decelled a few times, but always in cruise. When i got off the highway, i turned the cruise off..i was driving down the street and felt like there was power missing..so i pressed hard on the pedal, i heard the turbo working but it didn't feel like it was downshifting and taking off ...what can this be? does the fact that i used cruise control mean anything? is there anything i should do? my car is a 2006 v70 2.5T...

update...
well, i drove her this morning and seems to running good again...i think, somehow, i might have accidentally hit the WINTER mode button, hence the slowness at takeoff...i hope it's that (fingers crossed)
