  • curious...LPT vs HPT....that much different?

i was just wondering....in a stock engine...is the engine dispacement and turbo size the same in, for example...a v70 2.5T (LPT) and a V70 T5 (HPT)??? basically if i where to reprogram my car to mod the engine..would i, in theory, have the same setup/characteristics of a stock T5?
I also wanted to know if any of you have programed your stock 2.5T, and how do you find your car now?
    thanks
    fab

similar but not the same fabs lpt is smaller and spools faster so significantly more low end torque/power hpt is big takes longer to spool so is more of a....highway screamer? so even with the same exact hp its gonna feel diff. [in many ways I prefer the lpt that being said bigger and stronger has its appeal].

GUN...thanks for the clarification.. i understand...so really in terms of programming my car, there really isn't that much that can be done..seeing as it's a small turbo to begin with? or it'll just make the turbo last a bit longeR? thanks

there is still lots of value in a tune/chip 30hp 50lbs usually the ballpark figures for 500$ish it wont feel the same as a t5 but more power is more power also Y a surement des membres [mario ect] qui l'ont deja fait le tune sur un lpt.

                      salut

                      EXACT

                      Basicaly.

                      2.5t + chip = T5
                      T5 + chip = R
                      R + ship = RIP

The best to do that, is to upgrade a little bit other stuff (Aireintake and mufler) Depend to the millage of your car it can be a nice time to take a look for catback.

The Mario's catback blow out at 125 000Km and My R got now 135 000km and the catback will die in few month. At this moment, you can also change de DOWNPIPE for OBX at 150$
