Building a 20 valve head motor

Ok I'm having issues with my current motor, b5252, I want to build a motor from a base I have, a 2.3L turbo block, but build it NA for now...no questions yet please!

If I use this block, and purchase a 20 valve head, could I run the intake and exhaust, and all engines systems from a 10 valve? Including ECU? Or will the difference in displacement and flow of the head require the 2.3 NA ECU?

Walk me through this if it is possible. thank you.

My current motor (b5252) is a 1996 OBDII, The turbo base is from the same generation but I dont have a specific year.

To bring back up an old thread because I'm looking for the answer again... would it be possible to swap a 20-valve turbo head on a 10-valve NA block?
