To all who are chipped with UNITRONIC

A quick update:

UNITRONIC Chipped no longer services VOLVO, it is their European counterpart who has taken over. As you may have noticed VOLVO no longer appears on the website. The VOLVO "tunes" are only available to the European market and cannot be adapted to North American cars.

I personally was not satisfied with the "tune" and have had no success in overwriting the software. After numerous attempts to contact the man responsible I was informed he is extremely ill and works on a part-time basis.

Today good news, I contacted them and was able to find someone to help me out. For those who are chipped like me, they were able to locate the OEM software and are willing to flash back to OEM at a minimal cost.

Obviously I tried to arrange something for a better price but, two men on the car, about two hours of programming yadayadayada..... I guess their trying to save face on whatever after service they supposedly had

I know it's ridiculous, but right now it's either that or future troubles:

Maybe a burnt Turbo do to ridiculous boost spikes on an unknown basis and thats if any damage wasn't already done over the last three years...

Can't overwrite their software as many have tried and failed due to read protection and some other nonsense.

And finally the cost to replace an ECU versus a flash, personally I'll take the flash at 100$ to 1500$ for an ECU.

I bite the bullet and turn away, as far as I'm concerned, maybe I'll get lucky and he will have pitty once I tell him everything that I've been through

Hi Alex! Buy the way your 60R look and sound awesome, i hurd about you at the place you got ur exhaust done...i also have a 60R and they show me how they did yours! Are you satisfy with it ?? And if you.need someone to re flash ask Paul Harris great guy and he is cheap!

Buy the Way i just put My Diablo 20 inch mags on mine today. CRAZY LOOK! But its rubbing anything you could suggest me..
