carbon fiber parts

So in the quest to make my car lighter without stripping the interior or losing any of the daily comforts, I've been looking for carbon fiber replacement parts. I've found hoods, trim, lips, spoilers, mirrors, however the part I'm most interested in and have yet to find would be a carbon fiber trunk!! Does anyone here know of a shop that makes one??

Umm...where did you find a hood? I've looked and looked, and the only company who used to make them is no longer in business...

And no, no one makes a CF trunk to my knowledge...I've looked into this already...

gemini makes them, but i just noticed on their site they mentioned that they stopped automotive products for the time being. and i just looked around a few other places that i swore had cf hoods, but i cant seem to find them... strange...

nobody makes them no more , gemeni been 2 years since they are out of buisness , spoke with ipd

np... my engineering materials course is next fall semester so i'll prob start making the molds next winter and go from there. i'm sure once i make one, they're will be others interested
