thanks. I hate to sell it, but I would like a bit more ground clearance and the wide tires are very prone to hydro-planing, even at moderate speeds. Had a rough time with it in Vermont last night in very heavy rain. Can you think of a solution? The tires are new Contis

Have you tried tires with a design specific to wet conditions, something with decent evacuation ridges?

you could also try a narrower tire (225.55.17) bigger sidewalls but you get to live
